As far as most folks remember, Mike came to the White City from out West around the turn of the 20th century. He slummed around the Yards for a while, but something sent him scampering away from the Carthian Movement and into the employ of the Invictus gangster Murphy Macmanus in the early 1920's.

Mike is a creepy little Nosferatu knife-man. Even from ten feet away, it seems like he is right in your face, and it is hard not to back away from him - not because he is frightening, although he certainly can be - but because he just seems to be in what came to be called your 'personal space' no matter where he is standing.

He doesn't seem to be involved in politics particularly, nor in business. He has worked for a number of mortals since Macmanus disappeared in the 60's, and occasionally for an Invictus business person as a bodyguard or security man.

Maguire doesn't seem to drink much, and the Lancea Sanctum folks occasionally see him in church or even once in a while at a Lancaea temple, but he has always politely rebuffed efforts to recruit him, and frankly there just isn't much reason to want him around.
