Clan Daeva
Daeva, by their most basic nature, are the essence of desire, sensuality, and emotion, their ranks full of sexual predators, sensual hedonists, and eccentric artisans. In a world of born-again predators that stalk about in a bleak world with feelings of a passionless existence driven by instinct, they are quite envied by the other kindred clans. They effortlessly seem to glide through the centuries, unhindered by the masses while they indulge in humankind and all that it encompasses, as easily as a gardener walks through their carefully maintained foliage, stopping to pluck this flower or that while simply smelling others. At least, that is what it looks like from the outside.
In the Chicago the Daeva are few in numbers, but excel in ambition and in some cases; size. For the longest time the Daeva existed without a clan leader or at best someone who would represent them among the other clans of the city. One would have thought that Guillermo Sandoval would have taken the initiative and declared himself Priscus; but this was not to be. Sandoval had removed himself from the prominent circles of the kindred society, even to the point that the running of his well known Galleria Carnivale was placed in the hands of another.Instead a seven foot nine inch Swedish side of beef name Sven Johansen stepped to the plate and drew the Daeva together and became their Priscus.Later Sven saw fit to concentrate on his job at the Galleria as Head of Security and turned the position over to Rick Self who just recently turned the position for reasons of his own, over to Desdemona Braun. But then just as tradition dictates, Desdemona Braun handed down the title of Priscus to Ed X. Edison.
Later the position of Priscus would pass from Edison to Bishop Stein as Edison became Prince.
